Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
The quote tool requires only six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, how you'd describe your health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want and what term length interests you. Those answers alone are sufficient for carriers to return their rates. Your full name, street address and detailed medical history are requested only if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
What carriers show you are their quoted premiums for the health profile and term length you enter. After you apply, the underwriting team will review your full medical history and confirm—or potentially revise—your rate class. Nothing presented on this site is a binding offer of insurance, nor does it guarantee any specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
Selecting Apply takes you into the secure online form. Your application is prefilled with the answers you provided on this site and runs on the carriers' own platform. You can pause at any time and return to finish later, and your signature is added electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the entire application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier, the benefit amount you're seeking, and the details you provide in your health section. Many insurers now use accelerated underwriting: for applicants within age and amount thresholds, decisions can come within hours using application data, pharmacy records and driving records rather than requiring a medical exam. Your quote will specify whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term period should align with the years your family would face financial hardship if your income disappeared: years of a mortgage, years with children at home, years of business obligations. Longer durations mean higher monthly costs but lock in a rate for a longer window. The tool lets you run quotes across 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not ask for your name or phone number to see rates. We do not buy or share your personal information. Our first-party analytics honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, but we also use a cookieless page-view beacon supplied by our content delivery provider that does not read those signals. The privacy page explains all tracking in detail.
